A Tragic Loss
A tribute to Sally Summerfield, a beloved production manager, and the tragic loss of her daughter Ella and friend Abi.
It is with a heavy heart that the film industry and all NZ heard of the tragic deaths of Sally Summerfield (née Rumble), her daughter Ella, and Ella’s friend Abi. All three were tragically killed in a car accident in Rakaia on Saturday 31 May 2014. Sally was 49, Ella and Abi were both 12.
Sally was an active production manager based in Christchurch. Having worked in Auckland, Christchurch, and Queenstown, she was known to a lot of crew throughout the country and was a good friend and colleague to many.
Sally will be remembered for her laughter, her beautiful style, grace, kindness, determination, and incredible work ethic.
Sally leaves behind her husband Shane and son Sam.
