SET UP FAST ACCESS TO GENERAL DISCOUNTS PAGE

The easiest way to access the General Discount page from a mobile phone while out and about is to follow the steps below to create a shortcut link on your phones Home Screen.

  1. open The Screen Guild website on your phone
  2. go to the General Discounts webpage (under Discounts in the Crew Zone)
  3. hit the "share" tab
  4. in the list of "share" options, select "add to Home Screen"
  5. hit "add". This will look like an app and is a shortcut to the General Discounts page.

To access these next-level discounts within the operations of your screen company or production project, you set up either a cash or credit account directly with the supplier under our Screen Guild exclusive discount structure using our special partner application form provided.

Please note: Your company or project must hold a current New Zealand Business Number (NZBN).

For both Screen companies and fixed term production projects, when you sign up to The Screen Guild Prod-Partners Discount Program you can nominate the buying staff or crew you would like added to your subscription or supplier account so they also get buying access to our exclusive discount structure.

To add crew to your Screen Guild subscription group, go to your profile section and add the requested details under "Purchasing Crew".

Please note: The Production Pro Discounts are designed specifically for use within your production project or screen company. Access is restricted to key buying staff, H.O.D’s, Buyers and Runners only.

All purchasing and payments are managed directly with the supplier under the account structure you have set up (Cash or Credit). A credit account is the most beneficial way to run purchasing for your screen company or long term production project although shorter term projects may prefer to run cash only accounts.

All accounts are primarily set up as cash accounts, to set up your credit account there is an additional credit account application form with the expected checks and balances and T&C’s attached.

All spend is listed under the card number or name of the person who actioned the purchase and can also be run via a “Purchase Order required” system if preferred.

Purchase order provision is optional, however please note that if you request purchase orders to be mandatory, this may affect the use of some supplier app purchasing and checkout will have to be conducted in-person via the trade counters.

CREDIT ACCOUNT APPLICATIONS

If you expect that you will be needing to purchase on credit, best practice is to set up a credit account for your company or project well in advance of needing it. This process takes a little extra time, so getting onto this quickly will ensure you avoid unnecessary time delays on your purchasing.

As most production projects are set up under a special purpose company (SPC) name, to apply for a credit account you will require a parent company who has a proven credit history to act as the guarantor for the project's SPC.

*(please reach out to projects@screenguild.co.nz if you require any other information on credit applications. Credit criteria may be different for different suppliers)

You can manage your subscription and add or remove group members directly within your profile area once you have enabled your subscription.

Remember that your Screen Guild subscription fee is also a claimable business expense!

You manage your supplier account and subscription group directly with the supplier. The supplier also provides your project or company with a personal account manager to help you locate the best prices for the products you need. Making contact and chatting about your buying needs with your personal account manager will also enable you to gain the best possible benefits, discounts and supply services especially when purchasing products and materials in bulk.
