After Trouble

From boarding school expulsion to starring in New Zealand-shot films and slaying wolves on screen.

The British actor Rhona Mitra has starred in two features shot in NZ - Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans and the Tom Scott / Paul Middleditch comedy Separation City.

Rhona was expelled from two boarding schools in her teens, but reckons that helped her choice of career.

“If I hadn’t got into trouble in some way, I’d probably have four babies and be living in the countryside in England complaining that my husband worked too many hours in the city. (Instead) I’ve been riding around on horses in New Zealand pretending I’m slaying wolves. I think I made the right choice.”
