Rialto Cinemas have been offering various discounts to industry members for a while now - but it’s been a bit ad hoc, with staff not always being aware when it applied and how much! Now they’ve standardized it, and applied it to each of their cinemas throughout the land - a flat $10, Mon-Fri, all sessions. Pretty good, given their prices range up to $16-50 these days…
Don’t forget the Academy in Auckland offers $11 tickets for any session to industry people… And a 2-for-1 deal on Tuesdays…
Then there’s the Film Festival discounts, of course… So, if you see even half as many movies on the big screen (there’s no substitute!) in a year as I do, you’ll see that you are SAVING MORE by being a Techos Guild member than you spend on our membership fee!!
