NZCS Awards

Highlights from the 6th annual New Zealand Cinematographers Society awards, honoring talented industry professionals.

The sixth annual New Zealand Cinematographers Society award dinner was held last month.

We are proud and very happy to announce that Wellington's Matt Henley won Cinematographer of the Year for his work on Welby Ing's Punch. Here's just a few of the images from Punch and also from Matt's earlier work on Coming Home In The Dark.

We are also happy to announce that the Al Guilford Emerging Cinematographer Award was won by Jared Jones.

And the Turtz Award For Contribution To Cinematography went to Alfie Speight.

A huge congratulations to all the winners at the NZCS Awards. It was wonderful to see so many women recognized this year for their achievements in camera; the NZCS reports that these Awards saw record numbers of female award-winners.
