Polystyrene

Dear Ed,

About the subject of poly and are we being green in its use? I must say my first reaction is “Get over it”. Our industry has a large number of other areas that we need to deal with in our use of resources before we get to poly.

I do agree with the other responders that there are alternative products for some applications - but not for all. Nevertheless, you can’t go past Jim Bartle’s “Poly & a Hanky” for a lump of soft-light with a kick in the middle!

Poly is quick, it’s easy, it’s cheap.

I do think that we should explore other options to poly, but let’s not take a crazy approach to this until we see poly removed as a building and insulating material from houses, coolstores and sets!!!
